Raising Funds to Help Children with Cancer
Today we went out and pre ran the course for this years Cody's Ride. The route is approximately 36 miles long and it's a different route than last year. There will be sand, rocks, small hills, single track and fire road. There is even one section with nothing but green vegetation to roll across, no trail. And if the rain lets up, hopefully the water and mud will be gone by ride day.
As always, the course is not too difficult, but please keep an eye on beginners and the little folks that are not that experienced. Also, we were told that if it warms up by ride day, we all need to keep an extra close watch out for snakes. Once the weather turns warm, the snakes will be out and about.
I would like to Thank our Cal City Folks for setting up the course for us this year. They spent several days driving around looking for a course that is safe and fun as well as challenging.
Our Thanks to Janet Burgess, Big Steve, Cliff, Kevin, Rick, Marie Zimmerlin-Garrett and my "Ride Boss" Scott Garrett! We wouldn't be able to put this event on with all of you.
Take Care and we will see you soon.
Most of you remember our
good friends Rodny & Stephanie, who came out to the ride last year for the very first time. They were a tremendous help to us and Rodny took hundreds of great photos at the ride and was kind enough to provide us with a link so everyone could view and print them at not cost.
Well, we were lucky enough to have them attend the ride again in 2016 and once again, Rodny took some great photos for us and he has sent us the link. Everyone is welcome to view and print the photos once again at no cost. All you need to do is click the download button. Please visit Rodny's web page and check out the great work he does with a camera.
Again, I want to extend A Big Thank You to Rodny & Stephanie, for all the support and help they provide to us at Cody's Ride. You guys are terrific!!!
