Raising Funds to Help Children with Cancer
Hello all, I hope that everyone made it home safe. Well, another ride over and I am already looking forward to next year.
I want to again THANK all you that attended the ride, donated money, raffle prizes, or helped out in any way. I truly appreciate your continued support and generosity.
This year we had 267 riders at Jawbone and we raised $24,000. That is the largest amount ever and the biggest group of riders we have ever had. This would not have been possible without all of you being part of our event.
I want you to know where your money is going to and here is a list of places we have donated to so far.
The cost of the food at Jawbone was $3100, the Cody ride apperal was $2300, I donated $5000 to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, $800 each to Make-A-Wish and Comfort Zone Camp.
On April 5, I donated $1500 to an 8 year old boy from Riverside, that has Lukemea.
I purchased $2000 in video games, DVD's and gift cards for the kids at CHOC. I also purchased about $2000 worth of items for Miller's Chrildrens Hospital.
Jean (Cody's Mom) did a raffle for folks that did not attend Cody's Ride. She raised $5300 and I added $1200 to that and she sent a $6500 check to St. Judes Hospital.
Again tank you to everyone who participated in our event. We are very thankful for the support and generosity of each and everyone of you.
Loyd (Cody's Dad).
