Raising Funds to Help Children with Cancer

Hello everyone, I hope that you all made it home safe and sound. I want to thank each one of you for making this the biggest ride so far. We had 199 riders (the largest number so far at any of the rides) make it to Jawbone and with the support and generosity of everyone involved, we raised about $17,000. As I said on Saturday, none of this would be possible without the support of all of you, the Cal City crew, the sponsors and everyone else that helps with the pre planning of the ride. I truly appreciate everything you all have done for the foundation. I know money is tough for all of us and I am very grateful to everyone that attended the ride and to all of the people and businesses that donated either money or raffle items. Again, the sucess of our ride and foundation comes from all of you.
Also, a big thank you to everyone who helped me with the pre planning. The raffle prizes, t-shirts, flyers and getting people safely to and from Jawbone is very time consuming and I really do appreciate everyone's help.
And finally THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, to the Firefighters of LA County station #173 and their families. You all stepped up and took care of business when it was needed. I am certain that you helped people stay calm with your professionalism and quick response and that you most certainly prevented others from more serious injuries. I know that we are truly lucky to have all of you out there to watch over us.
Again, thank you to everyone involved in this event no matter what role you had, it would not be possible without you.
I would like to mention our sponsors for this year's ride and ask you to please please support them as they supported us. If you need any of their services or products, I hope you take your business to them first and mention to them that you know that they donated to the Cody Waters Ride. It is a tough time for alot of businesses, yet the ones that donated to us were very generous and provided some great raffle prizes and a few also made a monetary a donation as well. I am really greatful and thankful to all of our sponsors for their generosity.
A special thanks to The folks at TABB Baseball who donated $2200, Long Beach BMW / Husquvarna $500, 7-11 Inglewood $500, Janet Wilson & Steve Maeda $500, Bob & Taryn $500, Rising Sun construction $250, Cygo Lite $200, LAYB $350.
Finally I would like to say thank you to my son Cody. The idea for the foundation was started when you asked me to buy some games and movies for you and the other kids at CHOC. Even though you were not feeling well yourself, you still were thinking about the others around you. And because of you, we are still able to help kids in need. I hope that all of you have a great year and best wishes to everyone from the Waters family. And please remember to hug your kids often and tell them you love them.
