Raising Funds to Help Children with Cancer
Hello all, I hope that everyone made it home safe. Well, another ride over and I am already looking forward to next years ride.
I want to again THANK all you that attended the ride, donated money or raffle prizes, or helped out in any way. I truly appreciate your continued support and generosity.
This year we had 267 riders at Jawbone and we raised $24,000. That is the largest amount ever and the biggest group of riders we have ever had. This would not have been possible without all of you being part of our event.
This year Cody's Ride raised $24,000 and I want to let you know where your money is going.
The cost of the food at Jawbone was $3100, the Cody ride apperal was $2300, I donated $5000 to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, $800 each to Make-A-Wish and Comfort Zone Camp. On April 5, I am going to a cancer ride for a 8 year old boy that lives in Riverside. I will donate $1300 to his event and I am buying an IPAD and donating $600 to a 6 year old girl in Loma Linda that has a brain tumor.
I am still waiting for CHOC to give me their wish list for the items they need.
Jean (Cody's Mom) also did a raffle for folks not at Cody's Ride. She raised $5300 and I gave her $1200 and she donated $6500 to St. Judes Hospital.
